Living Epic

2016 Womenswear Collection
There are more than 100 different tribes of Hmong in China,
the public called them “living epic” because they will do the embroidery or singing to deliver their ancestors’ story

“Living Epic“ is inspired by the Black Hmongs’ ( a minority in China ) traditional clothing and religious fanaticism, reconstructing the traditional Hmong Clothing with the religious clothing to create the whole new looks.

Reconstruct the tradition

I choose some features as the critical point in this collection; Hundreds Birds Clothing( wrapped structure and detailed design of ribbon skirt ), the transformation of pleated fabric, print design like the graphic, traditional embroidery and general knitted structure inspired by their pattern.

Awards

The unique viewpoint and whole new looks of Hmong tribe got lots of positive feedbacks after presenting in National Palace Museum (Taiwan), Taiwan Design Museum, Ningbo Fashion Week( China ), YODEX young designer exhibition (Taiwan), Guangdong Fashion Week( China )...and some fashion exhibition or museum at home and abroad.

This collection is awarded by Golden Pin Concept Design(Concept Design Award, Taiwan), Strait Cup Young Fashion Designer Competition(First Award, China), International Emerging Fashion Designer Competition (Best Collection, China)
